Thoughts on Marketing
My son: "You know, Daddy, Red Robin does NOT have the best burgers, but their commercial makes me think they do. That's lying, isn't it?"
Me: "Yeah, it pretty much is. But they're allowed to do it because you can't really prove what they're saying is wrong. They call it 'marketing'."
I could see his gears turning as he sat and thought about what I said. After about a minute or two, he says: "I don't want to eat there anymore. Five Guys is better anyway."
